A story of Young Love

Image
A story of Young Love      Today I’m going to be talking about a story full of young love, it’s called “Romiette and Julio”, it falls in the genres young adult, fiction, and romance. If you closely observe the title it sounds like “ Romeo and Juliet”. This book talks about two 16 year olds Romiette Capelle and Julio Montague, they both come from different backgrounds but end up falling for each other. Romiette is a very strong and independent woman, she doesn’t believe in dating guys or that any guy from where she is, is attractive. Eventually when a new boy comes into town it changes her whole perspective, that new boy is Julio. Julio just moved from Texas where he would describe it as a colorful and lively place, in contrast to where he is now which is dull and gray. When they meet it’s like love at first sight, nothing could possibly destroy these lovebirds.       Then again love isn’t perfect, within love there are compilations and tough obs...

Grow

Image
Grow Grow is a word I choose to live by this year. Grow for me means to be the best version of myself. This word connects to my life because it represents how I want to be. I want to grow my confidence, generosity, and maturity. The definition of grow is to become larger or greater over a period of time. Increasing my confidence, generosity, and maturity will help me achieve the best version of myself. Being the best version of myself will make me feel good because change is apart of New Years, starting off on a different note. If I am able to start off on this note and continue to live throughout the year listening to that word than I will be very proud of myself. I also chose this word because it’s challenging for me. Sharing my ideas and thoughts are not something that I can develop overnight, and grow means to become greater over a period of time which perfectly represents what I want the New Year to look like.

Such A Relatable Book

Image
Such A Relatable Book Today the book I am discussing is It Gets Worse by Shane Dawson. The book is an autobiography which is mini stories of events that occurred. The genre is under Young Adult although there are some parts that are not considered appropriate. It's a very funny book which mostly describes the embarrassing moments that he went through. Each chapter is a different short story. Shane Dawson is one of my favorite youtubers, and because of his content I knew it was going to be hilarious. There were various moments were I would have to take a break because my stomach hurt from laughing too hard. The reason why this blog is called Such A Relatable Book is because I feel like I have and I still am experiencing very embarrassing moments. My Favorite Chapter My favorite chapter from the book is Lottery. Lottery is about Shane and his mom going to the liquor store because Shane’s mom said that god told her she was going to win the lottery. When this happened she ...

My Preferred Perfection

Image
A Beautiful Painting His eyes are a dark brown color that are completed with an almond shape. When he smile his eyes transfer to a crescent moon shape, brighting the painting. Below freckles are scattered beneath his eyes and across his nose. His nose is small and compliments his eyes. His lips are plump and pink which perfectly contribute toward the pale tone of his skin. When he smiles the corner of his lips extend upward and expose his pearly white smile. His hair is tousled as little strands gently unfold and fall upon his temples. His pitch black hair nicely contradicts his pale complexion. He appears to be fragile and delicate, a look that is achieved by many paintings. But he’s not just like any other painting. When you look beyond the painting and at the tiny details upon the canvas you see his eyes tell a story. A story of strength, love, and determination. A hard working person who doesn’t give up on tough obstacles when they arrive. He overcomes them. So when you see ...

A Jolly Day

Image
A Jolly Day What exactly is Christmas to me? Christmas is a time of joy. Being surrounded by the lightly scented candles which bring a nice aroma into the room. The tree appears to be a painting. The tree brightens up the room as it displays ornaments that have been used for centuries with new added touches. The lights in the tree are bright and colorful as they reflect off the smiles in the room. To finish the painting a star is placed above the tip of the tree, illuminating bright lights. Beneath are the presents. The presents have different wrappings and bag decorations. Everyone is expecting grandma’s signature present. Before tearing the presents apart our family enjoys a feast together. Every year is different, you don’t know what to expect for dinner. As time goes on we fufill our tradition. Opening presents every hour. The family huddles around the tree. The Christmas music fills the air as the subtle sound of wrappings being torn slightly invade. The brightness of smiles in...

My Priceless Painting

Image
My Priceless Painting  My priceless Painting is a painting that I did last year in one of my art classes, it’s a painting of a mountain and tree, it was an art project that’s valuable to me because it has color. Color matters because I personally don’t enjoy using it in my art because I think it’s a very risky move especially when you can easily mess it up. Most of my art pieces are in black and white because I think it’s a lot more realistic and it’s easier to use rather than coloring the art pieces. A message I learned from this simple painting is that even though you’re going to make mistakes and errors you can learn from them and apply them to your life. After painting this, I realized that even though it didn’t come out as I wanted I can learn different techniques and use them in my other paintings, rather than not trying because I am afraid to make mistakes. The painting above was done by me, it was actually one of the first art classes that I took in a while becau...
